At first I thought the fake tan I usually used to camouflage my vitiligo was wearing off unevenly - then, to my amazement, I realised the brown speckles were pigment! (You can see the marks of my sun top underneath the freckles - the pinker areas being sun burned vitiligo.)

  • Hi Carmen, the supplements I use are all from one UK supplier called Xenca.  I have put full details onto my story website at www.vitiligoprotocol.co.uk including links through to the ordering site. Hope you find the information useful.

  • Hi Audrey,

Welcome to Vitiligo Friends.  Yes - it is quite a long story, so I have put it all onto a website called Vitiligo Protocol

Hope you find it useful :)

  • It is a fascinating condition when you look at it objectively. It's just that you can really only be objective when you have either come to terms with it or else found an effective treatment.  Glad to hear yours is not too bad. Good luck with the hands.

  • Hi Caroline,  happy to hear from you again and do post more pics.

Yes sometime repigmentation is little darker and slowly it evenly balances out after few months or year or so.... actually when u intake internal med , it happens that way.... topical application is restricted area so boundries turn darker and later skin repigs back...

viti is same usually turns pink ...actually trying to repig hands and palms...which we know is difficult area to repig ...rest is fine.

  • What supplements do you use ? Im a new member here so i dont know whether you posted about it or not . If its a long story a link would great !

    Thank you !!

  • Hi NJ,

Thank you for asking. It is still improving - I must take another photo and post it to show the difference. What I find fascinating is just how densely pigmented normal skin is. I would have described my natural skin tone as fair and yet, as I have watched the process of re-pigmentation over the last couple of years, it has struck me that there seems to be layer upon layer of pigment filling in in wave after wave - almost like a series of OHP transparencies being laid one over another.

How is your vitiligo at the moment?
