  • My sister doesn't have vit -- but she has also dealt with significant thinning of the eyebrows. From what I understand, this is common with women, due to plucking, threading, etc. over the years. The thinning of your eyebrows probably has more to do with this.

My experience was very localized, and in an area where my vitiligo had spread.

  • Oh because I noticed it happening to both I mine. O wasn't sure at first so I got them done at a salon and measures the growth after they grew back. They are definitely falling out and my eyes have been irritated for weeks but I didn't think that had to do with my vitiligo.
  • Haha, such an unflattering photo of my cat! I'll have to post another.

And, yes, I began losing my right eyebrow about a year ago. It started slowly and then really accelerated. The area would get really inflamed -- which my dermatologist explained was my immune system really doing to work on that part of my face.

Alopecia rarely occurs with vitiligo -- but I am one of those lucky few ;-)

  • Were you losing your eyebrows??!!
  • Cat photo bomb! lol

  • Haha, filling in this bad-boy every day before work wasn't easy.
