     Thanks for your help. Those are some of the questions we've been struggling with as parents as well. On one hand we want to make things "better", but at the same time, after reading some of the warnings on the meds/treatments we were scared to do anything. Our son is the same age as yours and for the most part never even mentions vitiligo and doesnt seem all too worried about it. I'm affraid that once middle school starts next year and he's around new kids that the teasing may increase and he will feel differently.

   Up until now(2 yrs) we have not done any treatments, we were thinking we didnt want to him think anything was wrong so why treat it??? LOL

  hi:) thanks for the add. so far i have been taking folic acid and b12 every day and the vitiligo on my knees has gone away alittle but i noticed some other spots getting larger =/ im going to start taking vitalax as soon as i can afford it. so have you started him on any kind of treatment? if so what kind. ~ cody

  Thats a very cute picture of Lily on the pageant page... and she's in the lead... i wish her tons of luck, although she doesnt need it, her cuteness seems enuff. ;-)

  hey jodie,

  glad to hear dylan's doing great!!! yeah, kids have a hard time with taking meds regularly... i think if u can get him into the routine (like wash your face, brush you teeth, then apply cream) he might not give it much thought, and it'll become common place.

  i cant afford a protopic regiment (i take care and support my mom and her medical issues) so i'm just letting nature have its run. i decided to stop the folic acid, B12 and D3 since 95% of it is on my face, i'd like for it to become one tone , instead of maintaining my two-tone reverse raccoon look. ;-)- i have gotten more lightened areas on my cheeks, and around my beard. all under my goatee & mustache. i think my whole upper lip is white, but not going to shave to find out, hahahaha - oh well.

  we'll see what happens there. hahahahaah

   

  i will definately vote for your lovely daughter, cant wait to see the page. my ex-g/f's daughter tried her hand at beauty pagents when she was 14 (she did like 3 or 4, that was enuff for her, she scored big, but all in all it wasnt her thing, although she's gorgeous, she's more of a brainiac ex-soccer player.

   

  The play i'm producing/directing opens next friday. we'll see if the "tech week stress" cause more mellinin to vanish. ;-) - the play's called "the man from earth", you can google the movie of the same name and premise online.
