It started out on the exterior of my hands. In two years it expended to this (and more on the rest of my body) luckily I have a light skin. In winter time people doesn't even see it...:0)

Mine started on the tops of my hands too, diagnosed back in 1997, now my arms are completely white up to my elbows, I have it all over in large and small patches, typical ankles & feet, knees, back of neck & shoulders, it will never end. Have gotten used to it but I'm still self conscious when people look.
