About Me:

I am 28 years old, who is a graduate from UCF. I live in Downtown Orlando, and work full time as a Financial Advisor. I have lived with Vitiligo for a year. Im actively trying to accomplish three goals for Vitiligo. First, I want to start a local support group for vitiligo in Central Florida. Second, I want to raise money for research of Vitiligo including cures, and causes Three, I would like to lobby to our local congressmen, for changes in insurance coverages so that anybody with vitiligo would get the right treatment, and never be denied. These are 3 goals I would like to contribute to, and if you feel the need to join in, and help then please message me as I am just getting started.

  • HELLO AND WELCOME TO VITILIGO FRIENDS!!

  • Hello Kunal,

Thanks for the add! How are you?

  • Well its different for everyone you can see results in little time but everyones body is differen't so it just depends on the person. And i won't lie unless your insurance covers it it is very exspensive. Since my insurance doesn't cover it i do spend a good amount on it.
  • Good Luck and be careful!  It seems everyone wants to drug and poison you until your ability to heal yourself has been diminished and chemicals/poisons will destroy your kidneys and liver which are our only natural filters.
  • Im actually still in the process of skin graphing and ive done it on my neck and chin area. It takes a while (well for me atleast everyone is different) but half of my chin where the vit was is now back to its regular color and the vit hasnt come back. Im starting to now work on whats left on my chin then soon will work on my neck but so far its been going good its just a real slow process.

  • we are trying to go to a vegetarian, soy-free, gluten-free ,chemical/pesticide-free, primarily raw food diet. we do still apply the chickpea mix but i believe the discoloration, vitiligo, is just a symptom of an underlying condition that seems to be an accumulation of toxins within the body whereas adding more chemicals, drugs ,poisons,  would effectively increase the toxicity causing an increase of depigmentation , so through a raw food ,chemical free diet & lifestyle, hopes are to detoxify while restoring our organs to facilitate natural restoration of the body.  read about "The Gerson Institute"   , "The Beautiful Truth" &"The Gerson Miracle" are a couple of movies about curing cancer with nutrition. "Forks over Knives" is a movie that shows a 20% protein diet feeds cancers whereas 5% protein diet protects and even helps eliminate cancer.  "Food Matters" is another movie about the importance of nutrition and the individuals power to take control of their own health. All of the information available to the typical american doctor about vitiligo is completely one sided funded by the drug companies. this is a link to adverse effects of steroids   http://www.leucoderma.com/app/cortisone_adverse_effects.asp ,i'm not recommending this guy's products just some useful info there. By being exposed to the steroids we inhibit our bodies ability to heal itself, maybe permently.     if you search the CDC  website for vitiligo there is info about the links to chemicals and vitiligo  here is a quote from one "A cluster of five vitiligo cases (cutaneous depigmentation) has also been reported [O'Malley et al. 1988; O'Malley and Mathias 1986]. The five cases were diagnosed among 199 workers at a company that manufactured hydraulic pumps with rubber injectionmolded interiors. Paratertiary butylphenol (PTBP) and 2,4ditertiary butylphenol (DTBP) were identified as probable causes for four of the five cases. Both compounds were present in rubber stock that was handled by the workers."

if occupational vitiligo is caused by chemicals why isn't all vitiligo? or is it?

Just my two cents, i'd do extensive research before proceding with conventional treatments as they can cause permanent  damage to the way your "whole" system is suppose to work. good luck and i'll keep you posted on any changes

  • Good to meet you too !!!! :-)
