About Me:

I'm a mother of two and my 5-year old little boy was diagnosed with Vitiligo today (Tuesday, October 4, 2011). I need to find out as much as I can and get advice on what to expect and ways to help him. right now there's only one very noticeable spot about the size of a dollar coin on his back and four very small ones started in other areas of his back and one very small one on his tummy. I am frightened for him as far as his self-esteem and social ostracization if this spreads. For now, at least, he is oblivious to the whole thing.

    Hi there, good for you trying to gather all the info you can. Support and knowledge can help a lot. Please feel free to ask anything you would like. I had a so called "birth mark" on my leg and didn't get anything else until 16, 17 years old. I have had a great doctor in Cincinnati. Best of luck to you, again don't hesitate to ask anything - the lack of knowledge was the worst part for me
