About Me:

I am 46 and have had vitligo for 6 years. It started when I was 40 years old as a scaly round patch of itchy skin. Had it for years. Then one day it was totally gone and turned into a white patch. The next year got two huge circles around my eyes. Then at the end of that same year I got two spots on the inside of my wrists. Haven't gotten anything new for a while now. (knock on wood), but you know how this thing works. Can come out of nowhere!

    Well, I must say, Debbie, you are a very beautiful woman, and I CANNOT believe you at 57. You sure don't look it at all. You mentioned other health issues. I sure hope you can manage whatever they are. I'm sorry that you've lost your energy, and I hope you heal. Really. What make-up do you use, if you don't mind my asking. Do you tell you "dates" that you have vit.? I recently told my new man-friend about it, and he says he doesn't care, but I haven't yet had the courage to let him see me without my make-up. That's going to be a hard road to cross...for sure. ...and congratulations on having 5 grandchildren. What a blessing. I CANNOT wait until I have grandkids. I'm getting close as my oldest is going to get married. I'm hoping they don't wait too long to have children. We shall see. Take care,

    Hi Michelle, Thanks for the welcome!! I'm 57 and a single mother of 3 adult child and 5 grandchildren. I've had Vitiligo for several years with a few spots on my face, I've lost a lot of pigment on my chest and stomach, little on my back, alot on my arms and some of my legs. I do date (men) a little but have other health issues which doesn't leave much energy to date..or anything. It will be nice to learn how others handle this 'wonderful' disease!
