  My 7 year old daughter was diagnosed just 2 months ago. I CRIED 2 weeks straight!  I'm doing much better now.  We have used 2 steroid creams and 1 spot on her knee slightly smaller than a dime is "freckling" so pigment is returning there.  She has a lot of hair in that area so I think that is what's helping!  The rest of her spots, quite larger, have not regained pigment. But I made a mistake, since I wasn't using one of her creams (Elidel) on her body on her "off" week too.  We'll try the creams for 3 more months and we'll see how goes it!  Fingers (and eyes and legs) crossed it works...now that I know what I was supposed to do!  Oops!  If not, the doctor mentioned trying light therapy...

  Welcome!! My 10 year old son was diagnosed 2 years ago. I am also a nurse! Good luck to your son! :)
