  • Hello,

You are so welcome beautiful. How are things going in your world?

    Lawrence...
  • Hi, my friend. Just dropping a note. I often reflect on my childhood and realize what aided me in dealing with seemingly being the only one with vit. It was one of two things: my family and my church family. When you can see the beauty in people that accept you unconditonally and make life fun, for me, it made me a bit competive cause I knew I was just as good as they were. Be strong and safe.
  • WELCOME
  • You are welcome. Vitiligofriends is one place you have people who understands what you are going through ready to listen, share and support in anyway they can. Please let him know that it starts with Self Love and self Acceptance!

    You are not alone!
  • Thank You Lena,

I know its a difficult feat for him. I love him so much. When he's hurting I hurt also. Neither of us are educated on living with vitiligo. I pray too that he may find friendship and soltice in the company of others that can relate.

    Ada
  • Welcome Ada. I hope that your son is able to find comfort among those who can relate to his struggle.
  • Hi Carl,

Thank you for your comment. My son is now 19 years old and si serving in the US Navy In San Diego Ca. He is very angry. I noticed when he came home for leave that he seemed different. I sensed lonliness and it broke my heart. I found this site and will introduce it to him.
  • Dear Ada, My name is Carl R. Manley I'm a married father of 4 girls ages 2,4,18, and 19 I'm 45 years old and have had Vitiligo for over 25 years now, I wanted to comment on giving you some support for your son

Certainly, learning that your child has Vitiligo has raised some questions in your mind. Many of these questions can be answered by your doctor. You should feel free to ask the people who are treating your child any questions about Vitiligo. The better informed you are, the better able you will be able to help your child deal with Vitiligo. Pretending or hiding your child from the public is not the best way to go about the situation.

  • HELLO AND WELCOME TO VITILIGO FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are welcome to Vitiligo Friends where you can find other Vitiligo Parents and all the support you need to be stronger for him.
