Does anyone who has insurance that does NOT pay for their child's protopic order it from Canada? If so, which one do you use..I'm having problems with insurance company, and I'm not a very happy mommy.. Thanks! You guys on here are so helpful.. I don't know what I would do without this site

Hello, I am new to this. My son has just been diagnosed, he is 8 years old. We were denied protopic and given desonide lotion instead. So far, it has not done anything. in fact, I think he has lost more pigment. the affected area is his left forehead and eye where he is also losing pigment in his lashes and eyebrow. I see that this was from Oct, so I am wondering if you ordered from Canada and what your experience was like.
I do not order from canada, but I suppose I am not opposed to ordering it from canada. I have a high dollar HSA, so I am sadly used to paying out of pocket for everything until I get to $5000. My insurance allows protopic (at least in the past) to be applied to my deductible, but it is a very expensive drug!! Sorry I am of no other help. I'm interested in your canadian experience, though. Last year, when I had met my deductible, I had refilled all of my protopic scripts before the calendar year was up so it was covered, so right now we are sort of stocked... :)
