I'm new. I'm sure alot of you are. My name is Jamie Jo.Im 13 years old. I got vit when I was 8 years old. I joined this site because the people that don't have vitiligo don't understand what I go through, what we go through. But you guys do, I dont feel alone anymore. God Bless and I pray a cure will come soon!!

I hope you keep coming back because we do understand. Although each person's experience is different in some ways, we all have lived with vitiligo. My vitiligo started when I was 9 years old. My story is a long one, but at this point in my life I am feeling good about myself.

Im so late to reply haha. Yes my vit started at 8 years old I rememeber the day I was diagnosed with vitiligo..
Most terrifiying day of my life! But Im startng to have VERY low confidence in myself. I feel repulsive and not good at anything because my vit is spreading fo the first time in a long time..Its scaring me so much and Im having family issues as well so that doesnt make things easier for me..Just hoping you could give me some advice I noticed your very happy with yourself. I havent felt that way in a long time.
Keep your head up sweetheart, You are not alone! It does suck ALOT sometimes and then there are times when I forget that I have it- even when mine is so visible because I have wonderful friends and family, they don't make me feel different.
I couldn't imagine having vitiligo as a kid (kids can be so cruel) but keep those people that love you close, never be afraid to express yourself and stay strong. You are so brave and beautiful! Never forget that....

I just wanna say, that vit isnt so bad. I mean it sucks and I wish I didnt have it but as of now theres nothing to help us.
I mean it's not like were dieing..Ever since I joined this site I've been more confident with myself. I hope all of you are(:
