Hello my dear vitiligo friends. I have written myself a birthday poem. The first word in the title has several meanings to me; Radiant, happy, God filled, as well as, complete depigmentation. It was my attempt at humorous verse in writing poetry. I will read it this Wednesday at my poets' meeting.
Here it is:
GLOWING OLDER
It’s my birthday time again
Seems the last one just began
Now I have a collection of sixty-seven
Growing closer to my time in heaven.
But just a minute, I’m not done yet
More great memories I hope to get
Today is one more I will cherish
God bless you all, before I perish.
My life has had its ups and downs
Now don’t fill your face with those frowns
Those "ups" are what makes life great
And the "downs" they make me appreciate.
Oh now, notice I am feeling just fine
Adding some humor is my design
I have been grieving as of late
So today I just want to celebrate.
