I found this site after googling to try to find any more info and treatments I can get on vitilgo and thought why not sign up. Makes perfect sence. I started developing vitilgo when I was 7years old and been stuck with it now I'm 25. I have it all diffrent parts of my body. I have it on both of my legs from starting on my knees all the way down to my feet and ankles, I also have some white spots on the back of my legs. I have some on my elbows which on one of them someone it went away over time but it stayed on the other one. And on my right wrist. I use to have some also on one of my eye lid too but that one u could barely tell as I blend it in with make up and such. My parents have taken me to docotors since I was little and have tried evrything I could possibly think of to try to cover my vitilgo. But nothing has worked after awhile we just stopped going to doctors since its costly and just didn't see any results. I have learned to deal with my vitilgo and learned to accept it that its always going to be a part of me. But its hard sometimes. I never wear shorts or short dresses for the reason I dnt want people asking me question imean were humans. People are curious to know. Its just I'm always tierd of responding the same answer. My family tells me I have it easy and that I should be blessed that I didn't get it on my face where its more visiable as some people do that I could cover it up by wearing jeans etc which its true but sometiemes its hard to deal with it. Little by little I'm starting to accept myself with my viltilgo and wanted to join a support group I just didn't know where to start or where to go. Until now that I found this site. For that I thank you. And hope to meet a lot of friends that suffer this dissorder. =)
