Thanks for your help!! The weird thing is that his knees have almost completely repigmented with Protopic alone, so I was thinking adding the light would help even more. I guess we will have to wait and see! Thanks again for your help and I will keep my fingers crossed for better results!
It is a hand held wand. It has a comb you slide in it to keep it the right distance from the skin (3.5 cm). The name of the device is Dermalume 2X. It has a row of 4 bulbs that are nine watts a piece. Just wondering why it is taking some areas so long to show pinkness. Any help you could give us is appreciated!
I do have some questions actually! We have been treating my son since Nov, three times a week. We have slowly built up time. We are currently at 8.5 minutes and still have no pinkness at feet, knees, and hands. Is this normal? His hips get pink around 6 minutes and have had great repigmentation. Seems like everyone else that I talk to get pink at way less times. Also, how long is it safe to use the light? Some on here have used it for years, and my derm is already wanting to quit prescribing at home treatments. Please let me know what you think! Thanks!
