  • Hey, Traylor. I saw your message and i wanna introduce the vitiligo treatment of traditional chinese medicine. A lot of vit patients recovered from it and the most important thing is that it is made by plants so that it has little side-effects for patients, especially for children patients. If you are interested in that email me (jenny.yan.wong@gmail.com),or skype(yuandu2013)

the following pic is a patient treated by it.2472642322?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024

  • hello and welcome to vitiligo friends . i hope u will make a lot of friends :)
  • hi, sorry about not responding had a hectic month. We haven't gone to the Cincinnat clinic, the extent of our treatment has been local dermatologists. im personally going to stop dying my hair with dye containing phenol because mine started about when i started dying my hair. Otherwise, i don't know what to do next. I also use dy-o-stain (amazon.com) to stain my spots. my daughter has been too busy this summer to let it bother her (thank goodness). if i hear of anything new, or if you d please stay in touch. thanks and I hope your niece is doing well..
  • HELLO AND WELCOME TO VITILIGO FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!
  • hey. i got my cupping done by a chinese acupuncturist. anything else u need to know just ask away
  • my daughter has them around her eyes, so there isn't much you can do there. puva treatments helped me when i first got mine, but you can't expose you eyes when you have them. the dermatologist prescribed protopic (ointment), which didn't help her but might help your niece. she basically wears coverup and tries not to tan since they are more noticeable if you do. maybe your neice could try that sally hansen airbrush leg spray to cover spots. i do think vitiligo has been shown to be linked with immunodeficincy illnesses. i wish her luck in finding help, if i find something that works be sure to let you know!
  • sorry to hear about your niece! i wish i had answers. i have vitiligo, started in my 30's. now my 14 year old daughter has it. there is not history in my family. i can't make sense out of this at all. the only thing that i keep dwelling on is that it seemed to come around the same time i started dying my hair . and my daughter recently dyed hers. i just wonder if some chemical set ours off. has your niece dyed her hair? there are always new treatments coming out and i really think there will be a cure, soon!
