  • Hey Sarah, you are very beautiful, anytime you want to talk hit me up on here or my email miss_kely_scott@yahoo.com I know how you feel I got vitiligo when I was 11, Im 28 but it was very hard when I was your age dealing with it b/c I didnt know anything about vitiligo and had noone to talk to so I know what you're going through,,
  • You are welcome. You will be uncomfortable when at first when you start to show and expose your skin showing the vitiligo. So psychologically prepare yourself and know that you will get the stares and maybe even questions, but do go through with it. The more you hide yourself the worse you will feel. Be strong, feel and be confident. You are beautiful even though you have white patches of skin. Don't make it an issue with your boyfriend, he should love you regardless. It may not bother him at all, so just be strong and go for it! Good luck!
  • Sarah, I have had vit for almost twenty years and it started as a small spot on the back of my neck. It spreaded very slowly so most of the time it went unnotifced. Recently within the last few years, it has spread fast and on hands, arms, legs neck and small spots around lips and hairline. It is very noticeable. I was married and have been single for going on four years. I have been dating and when guys see me, there is no question. They see me and the spots and approach anyway. Either they are interested or they are not, it's that simple. I am confident in myself. I know I am a good looking person despite of the white spots, and a good person inside and out. Vitiligo is not a flaw, it is a part of you. I know it's something you don't want to be, but it is apart of you and whoever is in your life will need to accept all of you. Expose yourself, don't hide. Explain the situation to your bf. If he has a problem with it, then maybe he is not the man you want in your life anyway. A strong confident man will stay by your side. Wear the clothes you want and don't let vitiligo dictate your life. Yes, you will get the stares, but so what! It will be awkward at first, but you will become immune to it. Hope this reply helps. Also, I have never had a problem meeting and dating.
