  Hi Laosie, I am honored and grateful to one of your many new friends here, if you have any questions I will only be to delighted to help, I myself have Vitiligo since I was a child, it took over 35 odd years for full change. I am glad to see that one our members stated to you that Stress is a major factor for its progression, '' some specialists say not so''… but then again it is we who have become quite aware of our own condition over a life time for most……

  The most important thing to remember … Always…. To be grateful for your beautiful self… it is time to celebrate our unique differences, its is not your problem that others may have an issue with the way you look, they only human and more than likely have many issues them self’s… We are all here to help each other so glad you have found us Luke :)

  Hello Laoise B,

  I hope today is better for you in your journey with Vitiligo.  I have learned that stress seems to accelerate the process or at least in my case.  I've had my friend "V" since I was 12 and I am 57 now.  I'm never ok with it but I've learned to live my life with it and just consider Vitiligo a passenger on my journey.  I wish and pray for you and your success in finding your personal needs with your trials.  One day at a time.

  I also have it around my eyes, venting helps. I'm told by my dermatologist that stress aggravates it, and may spread it. I've found this to be true. Please vent all you want, we completely relate. Welcome to the site!
