Today as I had already suspected I was told I have vertiligo. I will be seeing a dermatologist soon to confirm and discuss treatment. The first place my skin turned white was around my eyes, that was about 7 years ago. Since then the odd white spot here & there appeared until the summer before last white patches on my hands appeared and the grew in size. My hair at my forehead hairline has over the past year started to turn white and the skin right next to it, I though I was going grey...but looks like that's not quite it. What became really alarming is when on a holiday to very hot and sunny Bali, (I've been home 2 days) I there for a mere 9 days, big white patches started appearing all over my arms, feet, my entire chest, knees and one shin. People stared at me, I felt so ugly :( So straight to my GP today. Lucky for me I'm fair skinned, so I guess the contrast isn't huge but still very obvious. Tonight I've double coated myself in fake tan to try camouflage the best I can. I'm married, 3 children, 2 pets, I work full time in administration, I love the outdoors but evedently the outdoors doesn't like me!

    Just came across to your profile.  It seems that you are facing a huge oxidative stress for any reason like food allergy, leak gut, candida, parasite, etc.  If you really wanna fight vitiligo, you have to change habits dramatically.

    Hi Kevin, I'm Australian and I was holidaying in Bali, which is tropical and a third-world Asian country, so unavoidably lots of sun and different food. Though I have to point out my symptoms started about 7 years ago, it's become a lot worse and this summer just passed together with the recent holiday where I have even getting more sun has really magnified the lesions.
