My daughters spots are extensive, I would say at this point it is almost half her body. I am curious if it is less effective if the case is that extensive?

Danielle, rtry getting hold of Kee in louisianna. She is great... the theory is that you need to fix vitiligo from the inside out !!!! This comes with proper nutrients and vitamins ::::: THATS IT ... Vit. sufferers must cleanse from the inside out. My son is 9 yrs. old and its going to be tough...BUT WE ARE WILLING TO TAKE ON THIS CHALLENGE NATURALLY.... All doctors want to do is dab cream on the skin when white spots appear !!?? That is not nearly good enough for our situation or I think yours either. I have tried a few different options and nothing seemed to work as of yet.... I do beleive that this can be managed from the inside of the body out... Please call me if you would like the contact of Kee. NO .. I do not work for her... I just know that she is the only one that seems educated enough and wholistically enough to have the correct combination without the use of nasty chemicals touching or beining ingested by my son. Gene
I have been talking to a homeopath named Kee.. from Louisianna.. has anyone heard of her ?? I have natural lotion now for Petey.. I also bought her book also . She is the first one Ive come across that seems sincere. She also has vit. Drs. only want to be reactive to try to change white spots back to original pigment... But she goes after fixing the inside (naturally ) and the inside will take care of the outside. Please let me know if you heard of Her ...anyone one this site ........ thanks Gene
my daughters patch on her leg seems pigmented now. at her last appointment the doctor asked to stop using protopic on the patch. so, now i can say repigmentation time is 9 months for leg. face wud be a 1 month. my advice to any parent is don't give up soon. am feeling bit better but she is getting spots on ankles too. just dots now. lets see what happens to these.
I am new to this forum and have a 7 year old daughter with vitiligo. I am just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for doctors? I see many of you referenced finding the right doctor.
Hi. I'm new to this. My daughter (7 years old) was just diagnosed 1 week ago and was prescribed Protopic. We have been using it on her toes. Ou derm also wasn't very informative. He just said that there is nothing to worry about, it wasn't a big deal.
Nathan,
We started Protopic this past saturday... We are applying it to Petey in the morning and at nite. I dont know if you are to just apply it or rub it in the areas ?? Can you adress this for me please. We are hoping to have sucess with this now... The STUPID thing about it is that it was prescribed to us by the head dermatologist at New York University hospital,,, but he said " try this" and handed us a prescription...almost like I have no idea what to do but give this a shot !!!!! It was not really known yet for Vit... We really had zero confidence at that time with this Drs. comments or demeanor. The doctor was simply like... it will stay the same , get better , or get worse...We had this prescription for over 1 1/2 yrs. sitting in our medicine cabinet and never realized it. We DID check the expiration date and it is good till april 2011 so we are fine with that. We did call a derm. in our area and explained what Petey has and the lotion and he said OK good.. We will take him to new derm. in @ 2 - 3 weeks for apptment.. We did take pics on saturday of his shins, eyes, elbows..and I will post in a few weeks so all you fine people can see for yourself if PROTOPIC is and/or has been working for us. Hope to keep giving and getting feedback from all of you,, Sincerely Gene "Rocky" Durocher
