I know it will be different for everyone.
I would say I am only 35% de-pigmented. It is happening rapidly for me though. Every day I notice new spots.

hi, Im reading over the answers in this thread. Do u mind answering me a question please. My daughter was diagnosed with vitiligo a few days ago. I am completely uneducated and unprepared to deal with it. Does every person eventually lose all pigmentation? Are there different types of vitiligo? I really dont know what I should do at this point. Im waiting for an appointment to go see her specialist, but how do you drop news this big on a person, then just expect them to wait until they see another doctor to get answers? Im so stressed out =/
Let me first suggest that you check out www.vitiligosupport.org and click on the tab "Vitiligo"
I promise you that this site will be of great use to you and it will breakdown a lot of questions with real reliable answeres that can educate you. I can understand how you might feel being in your sistuation and know that there are other parents who are and have been in you shoes.
Another site that I consider to be geared towards parents is www.avrf.org (American vitiligo research foundation). Both of these site are great!
And unfortunatly there is no telling what vitiligo will do. So people only get small spots that never grow and others have white patches all over for years and then some people looses all pigment naturally like myself.
