Vitiligo and Candida

I first read about the possibility of Vitiligo and Candida here http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=2376623805&topic=8893 so I did the Anti Candida Diet for about 2 weeks I didn't see any improvements on my Vitiligo, but of course I didn't expect any drastic change in such a short period. I'm usually passive and won't do anything new until someone else tries it first, so I'm glad I did try the Anti Candida Diet and I'm always learning new things as I go along. http://healvitiligo.blogspot.com/2009/11/anti-candida-diet-to-help-cure-heal.html Has anyone ever tried a longer period of the Anti Candida Diet and see improvements on their Vitiligo ? :) Ann www.HealVitiligo.com

  • For Candida try Thorne SF722.  Very efficient.  Find at ebay.

  • Hi there,I also have vitiligo and candida, have being trying the candida diet for about two years and not sure to be having any results with my patches. But the diet have definitely helped me feel better, I do not have hives any more (I suffered a lot with this issue), my digestive system is working better and I feel I have more energy. It is important to mention that I also use a lot of vitamins.

I had moved to another city a year ago and my vitiligo seem to have worsen. The city I live now is much more humid, which is not good for fighting the candida, it is attacking me once again. Rigth now I am having antimicotic drugs, vitamins and the candida diet. I have just had blood tested, checking for my hepathic function. The results seems to show my defenses are very low.  I will keep going with the vitamins and the diet, and also look for more therapeutic alternatives around my new living area. I will let you know if I have any news.

Sorry if my writing is not very good, english is not my mother tongue.

    Greetings from Mexico

    • Excellent writing Adriana. Well done!

Wishing you the best of luck with your new city and keep us updated! ;o)

  • Hi, I started the candida diet 2 weeks ago (no sugar whatsoever, not even fruit etc). I can't say for sure but I swear some of my patches are getting a little pigment, the patches on my face don't seem to be shifting but smaller patches on my legs and hand seem to getting a bit pinker/darker. It's still early days but I think the link between autoimmune stuff and diet can't be ignored! :O)

    • Good job Johnny! And your right, it cant be ignored. What types of foods have you been eating? How are you feeling physically?
      • Thanks Kevin! A decent amount of fish, green smoothies/nutribullets, quinoa (though some say we're not supposed to have it, but I need some kinda carb), flax bread I make, eggs and lots veg. Fingers xd ;o)

It took me a while to get used to it, as no sugar is a killer and I really need to eat. Coconut bread, which is low in sugar but high in energy is delicious too (although I've stopped eating it as my digestion didn't seem to like it)

Will let y'all know if any major Vit changes!

        • Great job!  The only carbs you need are the one from vegetables (not even fruits).  Make them steamed with olive oil.
