I'm new to this website and I'm not sure if that's the norm, but I have been getting solicitations from other member apparently new about being I interested in me and wanted to start a relationship by email and send me pics of then. My question is, is this something that members do on this website or these are spam accounts because thats what it seems to be to me. This las person asked to start a loving, reliable long relationship (to me the way that was expressed did not sounded like a friendship) however I'm engage and in my profile pic I'm with my fiancé. Any one had this happened to them?? Not sure if should I report this comments... Thank you all!
You need to be a member of Vitiligo Friends to add comments!
Yes Tina, the 2 solicitations I have received have been from ppl from India... I guess next time it happens I will report it... Obviously no everyone has the same level of education and respect in here.
Andrey, that's the whole point, this is NOT a dating site!!! U don't talk to girls to know their status in this site, if u or anyone wants to find a mate they can go to Match.com as far as I know this is a forum to share experiences about vitiligo no to find a husband. Specially if in my profile I estate I'm engaged and my profile pic is with my fiancé... I think it's disrespectful.
I find it very nice when girls ask about my size ...of my spots :D . Its a normal question about your relationships status cause whats the point of talking to a girl if not to ask her out for some fun , i dont get it honestly :D
Hi there, not trying to be prejudiced or anything here, but i have found it infuriating from day one to have my searches on here interrupted continously with propositions and come ons from mostly foreign men who are more interested in if I have a boyfriend than talking about any solutions for vit. It's beyond maddening and I don't think it's ALL spam, so many of these men are from India, (no offense to anyone from that country) but it is frustrating and insulting some of the things I have been asked about (personal things that should never be asked on a support site such as this that we are all on to get support from each other on). I have thought about reporting it to Steve H. (this site's founder) but have not as of yet, this is one of the main reasons I do not visit this site as often as I would like to. I hate that some treat this as a "dating site" when it is so NOT that at all. But more a common place for all of us to share helpful solutions, dietary changes, anything that might help. It's not a place to pick up an American woman if you are a foreign man (and sorry to say but all of these communications have been from men from India or elsewhere, but mainly India and they have been highly inappropriate). so glad it is NOT just my experience (although I am not saying it's okay to do this).
