My skin itches at night. I asked my doctor about the itching and she said it is probably the body’s response to the depigmenting.
Also, I have never been one to take vitamins or drink a lot of water. I have recently started a powder vitamin and it gives me so much more energy. I only consume about 16-32oz of water a day. But I am doing better now.
My questions for you are the following: Do you itch and if so what time of the day is it that you itch? Do you take vitamins? How much water do you consume on a daily basis?
Thank you for your responses!

i read that you are not suppose to itch with vitiligo? itchy skin is associated with tinea versicolor. are you sure that you have vitligo and not tinea versicolor which is a fungal infection.
Try hydrocortisone. Definitely works. Also, maybe it's jock itch? It's not the vitiligo that's causing the itch. Might be the other way around actually.
Glad to hear someone else has itching...I thought it was only me :-) I also have thyroid problems and I thought it was related to dry skin or allergies.
Hi everyone! Thanks for posting on my questions. If I don't drink water, I itch at night. I recently cut my hair short and started using more hair products. Since then the itching has started again. I try to consume at least 64 oz or more of water a day now to help with the itching. I will try the antihistamine at night. Thanks again.
I itch at night too. I always just thought it was dry skin. I never really figured it had anything to do with my Vit .. although my body is about 50% depigmented. I take multivitamins daily and I try to eat healthy.

how is it by the way?
I believe it was Dr. Caroline LePoole who found that itching is a pre-cursor to a new outbreak of vitiligo white spots. It's part of having vitiligo.

For me it was/is not jock itch lol!! Itching does occur in some as the vitiligo progresses. For me I always knew/know when it progressing.
Vitamins have helped me tremendously, before I even started laser or ointments , after a few weeks of my vitamin ritual I noticed repigmentation
I can be lazy with water cause it makes me pee alot, lol but when I take my vitamins i make sure to drink at least 16 oz of water with them
Vitmains I take every morning are
Vitamin A or something for skin, hair, nails
Vitamin B12
Beta Carotene
Vitamin C
Vitamin D-so important Us Vits seriously lack Vitamin D and don't even know it, there is also a link between MS and Vitamin D defficiency
Vitamin E
Folic Acid
I know it's alot, but not only do I regain color, but I am super healthy now
any questions feel free to ask
Good Luck!
