  • By the way, I'd rather folate than folic acid.  Folate  refers to the various tetrahydrofolate derivatives naturally found in food and folic acid refers to the oxidized synthetic compound used in food fortification.  Both can be found as supplement.

  • Take a look at:   http://www.vitiligofriends.org/forum/topics/customized-tablets

  • Dear Linette,

Vitamins can help vitiligo. I wrote a list of which vitamins are needed and the amounts at http://www.recouleur.com/vitiligo-learning-center/scientific-studie...

    • I researched and wrote a list of vitamins helpful for vitiligo.
  • Other people I have talked to that have vitiligo take the following:

    folic acid 800 mcg

    b12 sublingual 1,000 mcg

is what I take....and I also take Vitamin E, and Vitamin D as directed on the bottle, oh and fish oil

Talk to your doctor or you can go to a health food store and they have books that suggest supplements for vitiligo...I keep meaning to go and check my health food store...I will let you know what I find out once I check with them...
