Me, my son, and my brother have Vitiligo. I went Gluten Free 3 months back and am noticing repigmentation. What is common between us three is that we all are Gluten sensitive. I want to ask everyone a few questions to see if these are common between Vitiligo affected people.

What is your blood type? All three of us are O+ve

  • Don't know my blood type yet. I will find out though. Thanks for motivating me to want to know. Peace
  • So far everyone I have come across is O+ve .. Still looking for more responses
  • These foods seem to cause and inflammatory response. Go to http://thewellnesswell.net to read information from Wannakee Hill's website. I purchased her book that has a wealth of infomation in it include eating gluten free.

  • Nobody else O+ out there? :)
    • I have read it before ,there was study about blood type and vitiligo,,the result was vitiligo exist in all type of blood.

don`t be surprise if several vitis are O+ ..it is because O+ is the most common blood type. They say Some food allergies are connected to blood types ...eating right after ur blood type maight help with weight loosing.

If some one is gulten sensitive or any other food allergies ..it is wise to use correct diet ,otherwise most of us are healthy people who develop only vitiligo.,,,some ppl are linked with other autoemune conditions.

      • Thats correct. In the US O+ is the most common but not a clear majority... 38% is approx O+, but that leaves a larger number non O+. So it will be interesting to know how Vitiligo is distributed.
  •  I believe I am O+ as well...I am going to chech and make sure
