About Me:

My vitiligo started about 20 years ago (in my early 20s)...starting on my hands. My dermatologist recommended that I stear clear of the sun -- however as much as I tried, I was young and went on vacations, etc. and it has now spread to 2/3 of my body (but not my face!). I'm supposed to be starting the phototherapy (is that right?!) therapy and he thinks it should be successful since I still have pigmentation in my hair. Not looking forward to the 6-8 months of this treatment though!!! It's not debilitating but it sure does suck!!! I feel like a walking conversation piece! Ugh...
