  Hey Monica !!!! Hope you are doing good :) :) :) I am so glad that Protopic is doing its magic for your daughter. This is very good news !!! Please continue with Protopic for as long as needed.

   

  It is hard to say if vit can hit the same spot twice. Since there is no permanent remedy for vitiligo, you can not say that a cured spot is "fixed" forever. It is possible that the spots may come back. How vit behaves is different from person to person. Try not to worry about this now. 

   

  I only tried Protopic for the face, and the "cured" spots remain that way. But I must confess that I still apply Protopic on the "cured" spots too. Vit on my face is very little, so this is not a problem.

  Hey Monica !!!!!! Good luck with Protopic !!!! I hope it will work its magic for your daughter !!!!!  Protopic is the best answer for vitiligo on the face. Give it enough time. Minimum 3 - 4 months. I am not sure Protopic has no added value after long term use. I have used it now for more than a year - and it either reduces the spots or has stopped the spreading. Add your photos - so I can see you :) :) :) :) Good day !!!! Take care !!!!

  Hi Monica !!! From what I have heard, Protopic IS safe !!! But of course, you can ask about it from the other doctor !!! When I said "it works", what I meant was that Protopic cured most of the spots I had on my ears. And I think it has darked the vitiligo on my lips too. But the vit near nostrils, no such luck yet. BUT protopic has kept the spots on my face from spreading !!! And I continue to apply it everyday. Take care !!!!

  Hey Monica !!!! It is always good to go for a second opinion. Protopic works great for vitiligo on face for many. I pray it works for your daughter too. Give it time to work. Don't give up. Good luck to you !!!! My vitiligo on the face is really small. And Protopic seems to work on spots on ears. But near nostrils and lip - no luck yet. At least it is not spreading. Take care !!!

  Hello Monica !!! My vitiligo started when I was about 3 - 4, but it was only in my ankle for a long time. Only about 8 yeas ago vitiligo started appearing on my face and fingers and elbows and many other areas. So, growing up, I was pretty okay !!! In the photos you can see spots on my face (ears, near nostrils, lip). They are small, and I use Protopic, which does help me. I also use a Steroid cream for the vitiligo on my fingers. I take the usual B12 vitamin along with Folic Acid.

   

  How many years your daughter has vitiligo, and how old is she now? Does she have a lot? What treatments have you tried, if any?
