About Me:
Sometimes I feel like I am the only one in the world with spots. I am 25 years old, and I got my first spot only 3 years ago. It has spread rapidly and now covers quite a bit of my body. I live in Arizona and yet I must avoid the sun, and I wear clothing that is better suited for the Arctic circle.... At first, I was diagnosed incorrectly, so for the first year and a half I was unknowingly treating a completely different skin disease. None of the treatments that I have tried since I discovered that I actually had vitiligo have worked. Plus, the treatments are time consuming and expensive. I have only had vitiligo for three years and I have not fully accepted it, but I am already sick of trying to get rid of it. I don't want to revolve my life around it. I recently spent 3 months in South America and although I wore long sleeves and never went swimming, I didn't let it hold me back and it felt good. I want the confidence to just wear short sleeves and not care if people look at me. I am working on it.

I know how you feel I was diagnosed with vitiligo about 2 years ago. I went to the dermatologist and he told me I had vitiligo and there’s no cure. I was shocked I could not believe it. He gave me 2 creams one for my face and the rest of my body and one for my hands. Since I have tried many different treatments there been times that I feel alone. People that don’t have vitiligo don’t under stand. Just came back from Cancun we visited the Maya ruins Tulum and Chichen itza they where amazing. In youre picture its that Machu Picchu.
so im curious what took you to south america?
