About Me:

I'm an Exec Asst in NYC. I'm married with two kitty cats. I have Vitiligo as well as a few other autoimmune diseases. The summertime is depressing for me because of my Vitiligo. It's more obvious once the sun gets to me and darkens my normal pigmented skin. The contrast makes it more obvious. ugh.

    Hi Joyce,  Thanks alot.   Your right about summer time...sun makes it harder to protect vitiligo spots and since we are more susceptible to skin caner, you just have to be extra careful with your spots catching sun.  For me, summer also gives me a greater opportunity to apply cream on my spots as the cream wouldnt be wiped out by clothes. Im learning more about vitiligo and refusing to let it spread.  I have never protected my skin from sun in summer or winter until recently when I learned sun is bad for the spots.   I guess the learning curve is a little longer hehe...  How long did you have vitiligo for?
