The girl at the shoe store today said you have Vitiligo to. I said oh you have Vitiligo, no she said you and MJ no one believes it's a real thing. I have lived in a few places and have only seen 5 people like me in 30 years. Ok about me I am 30 years old I have had Vitiligo for 25 years so it's kind of normal for me now. I have a lot of good friends that make me feel like its not even there, the only time I think about it is when some random stranger asks me about it. But I have no problem telling them all I know about it. So this is the first time I looked for a cure because I trusted my doctor when he said there was nothing I could do about it. But thats better than what a doctor told me when I was 8, he told me I would loose all my hair by the time I was 18 and I was at high risk of getting other diseases. That guy was wrong. Anyway this place is giving me hope. But I will say that Vitiligo has made me who I am. I know that people fear what they don't understand, So I say show the world how much you love them and they can't fear you. Just wanted to add there is a Vitiligo group that meets in dover DE the first thursday of every month If anyone wants to go and meet more people with Vitiligo please let me know.
