About Me:

I'm 41 and am happily a stay at home mom to 4 great daughters. I'm blessed to be in a really loving relationship for 4 years now. I love to workout and be outside hiking, running and riding my bike. I have had vitiligo for 20 years now and it has progressively gotten worse. I have days I am able to forget about it and days that it makes me feel frozen. I've kept it a secret for a long time and like to keep my head in the sand about it too. I am a spray tan addict to try and mask it as much as possible. Lately tho I am trying to embrace the truth of my vitiligo and have begun to reach out to the vitiligo community.

    I just feel like something's wrong w me. That people are looking at me like "what's that" and I also hate thinking people are feeling sorry for me. Ugh, I just want to hide my skin.

    my view on my vitiligo is that it makes me special. people who can take the time to understand it, they are not worth my time. everytime i shake hands, they notice and from the point, i will wait for reaction and proceed base on their reaction.
