Channel 4’s hit series ‘Beauty and the Beast’ is back for a second series, and we’re looking for people with facial disfigurements who are happy to share their experiences, to take part. Society’s fascination with beauty makes it difficult to address issues like facial disfigurement but this documentary series seeks to tackle the subject head-on. The main narrative of the show will follow a beauty fanatic and a person with a facial disfigurement as they get to know each other by spending time in each other’s worlds. Throughout the programme, the person with the facial disfigurement will try and help a ‘beautyholic’ to look at themselves differently, and redefine their notion of beauty.
