Has anyone tried an anti-fungal diet

I know genetics plays a role, but I've been experiencing extremely fast results acting like I have a fungal infection.

Read up on a candida diet or anti fungal foods.  Try that for a while and see what happens.

  • Can you let me know the details of the anti fungal diet you are having and did it reap any benefits?I would like to try the same..thanks in advance!

    • I agree with Flavio in this group.  If you message him or view his Vitiligo Map, it is very similar to what I've been consistently doing for years.

My theory that this is caused by a fungal infection in our bodies (a non-invasive but highly disruptive colony) is a more recent addition to my regimen.

Each day I take multi-vitamins and a liver health vitamin that includes milk thistle extract.

I drink Paul D'Arco tea and Green Tea.

I reduce or eliminate as much gluten from my diet as possible.

This may go against what others believe, but I use tanning booths at my gym.  Level 2 for 10 min with UVB but also some UVA light. I also use skin tanning enhancer lotion.  Currently coconut oil based lotion from Ed Hardy because it helps create that "pink" color you want to see when tanning your vit spots.

I then run and sweat as much as I possibly can.

With 3 children in diapers, I currently don't have much time to spend on the computer. Flavio is a great resource for these questions on more specifics and brands.  He has spent a great amount of time compiling.

Most of my vit is gone now.  Some spots remain on my elbows and front of legs.  They continue to spot and go away.  It once covered about 40% of my body.

There is hope, but it is a long road.  It took me about 3 years to eliminate it as much as I have.  The diet, the UVB with "pink" coloring of spots found at the "right level of light", and the exercise all sped up the process.

      Good Luck!

    • Hi Chris,  It's good to know you are back.  Congrats for your systematic recovery!

Which cream/lotion are you talking about (see below)?

    • Hah, I didn't really want to advertise that Flavio.  I also tried the banana boat tanning oil.  This one is a little thicker.

I use the oil and never used the steroid cream since it seems to me that all it was effectively doing was creating a lotion and oiling the skin.

I noticed that when I ran outside in the sun for 30 minutes and sweat profusely, my results were exponentially better.  So I began to do all of the above.  In the winter I use the gym then lotion then tan.

Even during massively stressful times in my life, I'm continuing to pigment.  My diet is still similar to a candida diet.

  • It's worth trying! Thank you for the information.
    • Ya, I know not all vit is the same.  I figure the group like me that has trouble with gluten might be similar.  My hands and face regimented without sun or uvb just by taking anti-fungal diet.
