Job hunting

Hi all;

I've been out of work for over a year. My vit is spreading to areas that I can no longer cover. I'm so distraught I don't know what to do. I hate the stares I get at the grocery store so I can't imagine interviewing and starting new job. Has anyone found that this had an effect on a job search?

    I JUST GOT A NEW JOB! (I was a school nurse-LPN, for close to 5yrs!) I have interviewed 2x's, the one was a phone interview! I have a job doing medical chart reviews! It depends on what you're going for, a job that requires a lot of people involvement? phone work? Believe it or not I was in wal-mart and the cashier noticed my vitiligo and she had it too when I paid closer attention! You have to go an interview like there's is nothing wrong! because there isn't, they (future employers) will treat you the way you present yourself! If they have a problem, it's THEIR problem, not yours! I will pray for you and you pray before you go to an interview! Be strong my sista!!!

    Beautiful, I am beautiful. You may think I's different but I am not. What people say or do won't hurt me, I'll just smile...........because I know this wasn't a mistake and no matter what people may say, I'll always know that I am beautiful.

    yes, is happened to me, but when i go to a job interview,I go with a positive attitude, I joke around I tell them, when I read the question about what race I was, I said ( not sure cuz im turning white), and they laugh cuz you go in there not thinking about your skin, we're human, no matter what, people stare, tell them I now Im beautiful, and they turn away, believe me, people well hire you for your personality and positive aditude about yourself, god bless you, ur friend marie
