EX-Vitiligo Patient Tells Story

I have found this interesting so far due to the fact that I've not been asked to open my wallet, (yet) and would appreciate feedback from anyone who'd like to read this man's story. I read most of his blog and at the end signed up for his emails as you have that option on the blog. We'll see... I think it's worth talking about in a group discussion which is why I am starting this one. Read blog here: http://vitiligo-cure.blogspot.com/ Ps--Hey Washington, this group is an action-oriented one, hope you enjoy! ;p *To Winning the Vitiligo War*

  • Hi Aimee

I saw this site about 7 months ago when my son's vitiligo had started. I was confused as doctors said there was no cure. I saw many homeopatathic medicines ads in the paper and herbal too. They promised quick results and was very promising. I was tempted to give it a try. Then I read Micheal's blog which said that we must not give up, and not try anything without knowing its ingredients and side-effects. In my emotional state I would have tried anything and everything. It could have steroids or any side-effects. Then after I read this blog I took control of myself, surfed the internet for more information on vitiligo and went to different doctors, but followed the advise of the one who advised that we do not use steroids. It was Micheal DeAngelos blog which stopped me from making grave mistakes. It even gave us hope. I am very thankful to him.My son is cured, but now i am looking for ways to keep vitiligo away. Thanks.
    • Hi Meera,

Wow, that's awesome that your son is cured...May I ask how you accomplished this as I know just how difficult it can be...
btw-to keep it away, I'd suggest good diet and excersise!! ^_^
      Thanks.
    • Im confused...what have u used to cure your son??
    • I am not sure but maybe she used Vaseline Total Moisture Conditioning Body Lotion with Vitamins E & A to cure her son. In any case, I am going to buy it and try it. The lotion is probably is a good moisturizer for the skin, it is inexpensive and it can't hurt to try it.
    • Hey Nelly,

How'd you hear that this works?!
      ^_^
  • I saw this a while back and emailed him about his bullets or whatever they are. I waited but no reply until a few weeks ago I received the following email:

    Hi

Sorry for the very late reply.

I was diagnosed Vitiligo by a useless doctor and asked to do Block-light treatment and some creams….

And was suggested by an beautician to use Moisturizer. I used the following, and got vitiligo(???)(white patches) cured.

“Vaseline Total Moisture Conditioning Body Lotion with Vitamins E & A” I didnt have any other medicine.

    Regards

    Sakthivel

that was it I don't know what the point of that website is......
  • Hi Aimee

I saw this site some time ago and maybe it says something about my English reserve, but, WHY would you want that much Razamataz for something which is so serious.
I am very sceptical about these so called cures. Some of the best scientific minds in the world are still baffled by this condition.
If I found a cure I'd want to have it presented in a medical journal, peer reviewed and tested.
Protopic does work, but not for everyone.

    Best wishes

    Michael
    • Yeah, I believe you have a point..hard to know what to believe on the web..it's unfortunate that some prey on other ppl's conditions for a profit. The only reason I thought to give it a go is I was never asked for any $. I guess aside from scientific evidence we need to hear real stories from real people on here re remedies they've tried and had success using.

A friend of mine told me one of her friends who had the condition tried Kallawalla Supplement. (forgive me if the sp is wrong) and that worked for her. Like you said, what worked for one may not work for another. I do know rule of thumb is give it 3 mo for the Kallawalla...
    • I agree with you Mike. There is so much cut and paste in that web site It looks like a bait to sell some product that has not been checked or verified.
