We just need to find the trigger which is most likely environmental or in our food... who wants to investigate?
by the way stress is a symptom-not a cause
another by the way- take omega 3 every day, lots of omega 3. (3-5 grams a day if your ldl isnt high)
more supplements for allergies: yes this is an autoimmune a l l e r g y

i take zinc(for acne), chlorela, GLA, B+C complex, omega 3 and i've seen some improvement- some
re-pigmentation (very slowly tho)
in general to see results you need to eat healthy, no getting away with that!

Have you tried protopic or any other topical cream for vitiligo? Mixing cream treatment with supplements, staying stress free, gluten free diet has helped some people.
Comments????
There is nothing which helps every one..I have tried all possible treatments and know ppl who try all known treatments every treatment helps only for some People in some degree.
You have to keep on trying til you get one which Works for you.
Bamsegutt is totally right. He is probably the most experienced person in this Forum, regarding Vitiligo.
On the other hand, if you can follow gluten-free and dairy-free diet, it would be a good try. At least for 3 months.
Protopic is usually good for face.
Elidel and Halobetasol Propionate 0.05% is reasonable for the other parts (except face).
UVB-NB phototherapy session 2x a week is an excellent try.
Basic daily supplementation is:
Vit E 400IU
Vit B12 500mcg
Folate 400mcg
Alpha Lipoic Acid 150mg
N- Acetyl Cysteine 600mg
L-methionine 350mg
Fish oil (Omega 3 only)
Probiotics (good one. e.g. by Metagenics)
Zinc 15mg
Copper 2mg
Selenium 80mcg
Green juice (green apple, kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, and broccoli)
Avoid Vit C supplementation
Avoid taking anything that you don't exactly know what is.
Avoid supplementation fillers like magnesium stereate and titanium dioxide. Try to buy from GNC, Pure Encapsulations and Dr. Mercola.
Hope i didnt miss too much but by doing these things (stop eating the toxic crap, supplement, breathe, eat good), our bodies can use this fuel to regenerate any degenerative problems it faces. Also look into green super foods like algea and stuff very beneficial.we can control genes. Nutrients are genes masters in essence. Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing Your knowledge Teh ben and Keven ,We develop vitiligo because we are genetically predisposed to vitiligo there are many theories out there but no one knows the underlying cause..the only known trigger for most ppl is emotional stress.
For some ppl vitiligo is related to digestive problem and Food intolerance for others not...there is no scientific evidence about connection of vitiligo and diet, most of us we can eat what we want as long as we do it in a healthy way,,,,,,,, any way "Balancing" is the key for every thing.
Have a Nice weekend!
I mean no disrespect bams.. if your interested in this i highly recommend you listen to his show "the bright side''. Best health information you will ever find. Strong statement i know but true. I have learned some crazy stuff from him.. why and how we get sick, fat, diabetes, thyroid problems, adrenal problems ect..
Hey Kevin...I understand what you mean ...Every theory we heare have some point but we haven`t found any proven theory about vitiligo yet....I know alot of ppl and my self trying all the remedies nothing Works for every one permanentlly, Some times for me it feels as if vitligo has its own way ....There are treatments which helps but it is not permanent , as you say since we dont fix the underlying cause .It doesn`t help what ever we do.
No one knows yet the main underlying cause..We hope the the modified protein research may help us repig one day in the future .
Thanks for the post and happy to know that you are experiencing repigmentation.
Has it stopped or slowed down the spread as well?
