People have asked me if it contagious? How did you get it? Did someone spill bleach on you?
Did you get burned? Is that the Michael Jackson skin disease?
One day while walking in Center City (Down Town) Philadelphia. A Homeless man asked me if he could have a dollar for something to eat, at first I was kind of skeptical because sometimes they lie and use the money for drugs, But after I gave him the dollar we sat and talked for like 10 minutes and he said "I notice you have Vitiligo my Mother had that" and I was shocked because I'm thinking because the man was Homeless and Dirty he was not that intelligent, which I should of never assumed, But too make a long story short, Lets just say I learned something that day and that dollar quickly turned into $20.00 we had the most interesting converstion , It just made my day, You just never know if a person knows about Vitiligo or not.
Yes, children are very honest. As far as any specific questions, I have not had any issues. There was an instant in a shopping mall where a clerk asked me what causes vit and what it was. But she was very pollite and mentioned that she has seen several people with Vit...that made me feel better because I dont know any one with the condition.
A little girl once asked her mother if I was a monster as she hid behind her leg. I walked to the other side of the street so I didn't make her cry.
The other day a coworker asked me If I had it on my private area in front of like 5 other people. I get that question more than any other, I don't know why people think it's ok to ask me that but I guess there just trying to be funny.

It seems like the most popular question people ask us is, Were you burned in a Fire ??? I think that tops all the other questions people ask us
