  • Taking amino acid Tyrosine cured my Vitiligo ! Thats all i care about !

  • @Hana have you tried diet modification?  lots and lots of spinach and green leafy veggies.  avoid any foods that are hard on the liver.  so avoid all processed foods.  Try not to eat from fast food places.  Drink lots of water and lots homemade soups with bones in them.  Its a long process to heal. but it can be done.

some people do have success with creams like pro topic.  However the skin is the biggest organ in the body.  The body is having an adverse (negative) reaction to some agent (could be food related or cosmetic related).  Only you know what your body is exposed to.

1st thing I would strongly advise is to go the best and most experienced allergist you can afford.  Are you having digestive issues (irritable bowel syndrome) or do you have any autoimmune disease?  something is causing your body to attack itself.  Only you can figure out what is making feel bad?  is after you eat milk products? is after eating wheat products?

    biggest things that  cause allergies:

    wheat (gluten products)

    diary (milk and egg products)

    nuts

hair coloring and teeth whitening kits (anything containing hydrogen peroxide)

remember uvb is great and many if not most people get pigmentation.  However remember it does add more burden to the liver.  It is believed by many theories and branches (homeopathy, ayurveda, naturopathy, and chinese medicine) that say the liver and gut problem cause auto-immune problems.

    • For some ppl homeopathy, Ayurveda, naturopathy and Chinese medicine give good results. The million dollar question is what is causing your vitiligo/autoimmune response? do you have family history? you can research autoimmune diseases and various theories and see what works best for you. all of the above branches of alternative medicine state that there is excess toxicity and imbalance which cause these diseases.
    • google leaky gut....and healing a leaky gut.  if have digestive issues it important to take care of those along aside vitiligo.  they go hand in hand.  also consider taking probiotics.

      • Thanks Alex and Shifa for taaking yor time

@ Alex...When did you had UVB treatment? for how long did stay the repigment? ?are you using now?

@ Shifa ..thanks I will add more green and unprossed Food,I dont have digestive issues.

  • UVB light worked very well for me. About 50% repigmentation on my face. At the same time I was juicing and avoiding all alcohol, and just eating more healthy foods in general.

All repigmentation remained repigmented, but the parts that did not repigment, did not repigment even after using UVB for many many more months to come. So it just kinda stopped working for me. But it did imporve my condition by 50%.

Now, I am trying pseudocatalase - bought it on ebay. Pseudocatalase is said to be very effective, because it slowly destroys hydrogen peroxide H2O2 in the skin, turining it to water, and H2O2 is said to be the reason that the skin turns white.

Thirdly, and most importantly prayer!! :)

    If you believe.
