I've recently changed my diet to focus on nutrients to help with vitiligo. Below is what i am currently taking. Please share your thoughts and recommend something which should be added or removed from this list.
Thanks
multivitamin - has a wide array of nutritional supplements
Ginko Biloba - this is supposed to help prevent vitiligo from further spreading
PABA - can help with vitiligo repigmentation
Vitamin B12 w/ folic acid - helps with vitiligo repigmentation
L-Tyrosine helps with the production of melanin
Psoralens - helps the skin to become more photosensitive to light
plenty of sun exposure to stimulate new melanin
Also, I've been eating chickpeas with black pepper and drinking plenty of water
Recommended Foods High in Psoralen
celery
lime
carrots
parsley
spinach
Other Recommended Foods

Thanks for sharing. There is actually a very interesting video on youtube about a guy who is using similar supplements and dietary changes to repigment. Definitely worth checking out. He goes through the science of why he made the changes and shows his results after a few months. I have been trying it for a week and am getting some small results. Hope it helps.
I researched the vitamins that help vitiligo. In addition to folic acid (you say it's combined with your B12), you're taking PABA. PABA is a constituent of folic acid so this addition may not be necessary. Plus folic acid is more beneficial as a whole. My written summary is at http://www.recouleur.com/vitiligo-learning-center/scientific-studie...
Hello everyone, this nice, educative and informative piece of information, I love it !!! I am “going green” too, and I’m trying to research intakes vs vitiligo. I have been on different medications but the pigmentation keeps on coming back after I stop the meds…now it is spreading wildly on ma face…
I’ll update you guys when I come up with my diet prg
After reading some of the postings and comparing it to this link, there is conflicting info on some of the stuff to avoid.
The posted link suggests tomatoes because it contains Lycopene a good souce of Vit C as well as drinking green tea. Also mangoes are advised for the combination of nutrients provided. It suggests to avoid limes/lemons because the ascorbic acid reduces melanin production.
I really don't know where "they" got this information from because I cannot find more information on this link. I don't know how reliable the information really is.
