Those Selling Vitiligo "Cures"

I'm just re-iterating the no-tolerance policy on the network for those who claim a product that "cures" Vitiligo.  Individuals who have had success with a particular treatment or product are welcome, in non-commercial ways, to share that success--but individuals representing companies who claim a cure for Vitiligo will result in their immediate removal from the network.  As it is I have to screen several spammers every day from signing up on the network.  Thanks for understanding.

  • Agreed !
its very irritating to read those idiots promoting lies !
we are here to talk and share , not to sell and buy.

    • here, here and cheers...so totally agree.  It's beyond cruel to offer so-called "cures" that are smoke and mirrors to people who are desperate to find a way to manage this and live with it (for sick amounts of our hard earned money no less)..  There IS not a cure for this, so why offer false hope when you know how desperate people are to find a way to make this go away? There ARE ways to slow it down and make it better, but no "miracle" cures.. I suspect this condition is a mirror of the internal health and workings of a person and it manifests itself THIS way, for whatever reason.  If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

      • yup exactly my thoughts

i sometime tends to think it is for sure more than a physical issue , the root cause is very insensible i believe.

  • :) great!!

  • Thanks Steve, for posting this.  This site has been a lifesaver, and you are absolutely doing the right thing.  Thank you for providing us with a "safe place" to talk, share, and understand each other.  Oh and for shielding us from the "witch doctors" who proclaim a cure for this.  Certain things may help sure, but there IS no cure, that is the reality for all of us.

    • Thank you, Tina (and Nadika and Bamsegutt).  Yes, it can be very hard to hear that there is no "cure" as of yet, although there are many treatments which can help and make a difference, often depending on the individual and their manifestation of Vitiligo.  I don't mind--in fact, I really appreciate--personal stories of how things have worked for someone, but as you might have notice from my post, I've lost what little tolerance I had for those who would play on our emotional needs for a "cure."  :)

I want there to be a cure, or better treatments, as much as the next person.  But I also want some double-blind scientific studies showing true effectiveness before we get people's hopes up.

  • Hello Steve...Thanks for making this wonderful homepage for us, You are right ,there is no cure yet ..but some use the word cure when a treatment help them.
