  • ciao Brian, i wrote it in another post, i discovered that two people i know had a pretty extensive vitiligo and for few years now neither me nor my husband ever realised they had it (and they were shorts/skirt all the time)...they are australians and they had been using microskin since it started....they explained to me that they scan your skin in all the areas where u have patches (ie.if you are white your tummy is usually paler than your arms). They did a scan of their skin in winter, spring and summer so they have all the different tones. I discovered they have it because i was talking about my son and making this big tragedy out of it...when they told me i thought they must have had just few patches in some obscure place but then they showed themseles without microskin and we were pretty amazed...definetely worth trying i think!
    • yeah its pretty pricey but if its as good as it seems I will pay for it! lol. my vit isn't bad yet so it should be a little cheaper for me right now. im just concerned about having to put it on everyday, i do that now with makeup but if im paying that much I wish it could last longer and im not sure if it will smudge like makeup or come off on clothes. i know its not a cure and i should tame my expectations but with that price tag I have and should have big expectations. I will keep everyone posted if i decide to try it.

lia, if you could get any more information from them that would be great.

      • I'm thinking some of the expense is for the compressor that sprays the makeup.
  • I want to hear more about this microskin stuff lol. I looked at the website this stuff seems pretty serious. I'm sure it cost alot but come on now... I don't care how much it costs if it is as good as advertised!

Does anyone know how much it costs? I guess i could email them...

    • I remember reading somewhere it cost between $1000-3500 depending on the package you got. I'm not sure, I could be totally wrong on that, I do know that it is very very expensive.
      • Just wanted to add.. I think the package is a 6 month package or something like that. And in the US it's only available through a doctor in NYC.
        • I'm going to email them and find out. NYC is only 2 1/2 hours south of me so that's not a big deal. But a couple grand is pretty steep for what is essentially just makeup. thanks
          • Yup, I could be wrong though so let us know what you find out! I'm only about 4 hours from NYC...if I could afford it I probably would look into it.

            • Ok, I exchanged a couple e-mails with them (Microskin) first you need to book a 45 minute consultation in their office in NYC. This cost $150.

If you decide to purchase a "package" that $150 goes towards it. you book another appointment, that same day if you want. a 6 month package costs between $710-$2300.  after that it can cost between $80-$150 a month depending on the package you get. they take a computer scan of your skin and match it perfectly it looks pretty legit. definitely alot of money though. but they have payment plans

              • Definitely let us know if you decide to use it!! :)
