prickly heat rash?

Hi, not posted for a while but I've been keenly reading everyone else's posts! I'm in the UK and it's a little warmer now and I have developed a rash on my forearms, some on vit and some on normal skin. I've always suffered with sensitive skin, but this is like tiny red bumps that are SO itchy and look pretty bad (I'm a teacher, kids ask questions and give funny looks!). I'm not sure if it's in any way related to my vitiligo, so I wondered if anyone else gets the same/similar? I'm sure it's linked to sun/heat, as about the only sun I'm getting at the moment is on my arms when driving, and the rash is only on my arms. I'm just hoping it's not more patches about to appear...
Think my immune system is rubbish, as I'm struggling with other problems at the moment and more stress than usual :(

  • The Same thing happened to me and then a white patch did appear :(
Let me know if the cream works for you.
  • Hi,
My wife gave me some olive oil lotion for what was actually a bad sunburn on my arms where my vit is increasing. It really took care of the pain due to the burns but I use more frequently before I go out and work on my garden or lawn work. It may not be a cure all for your rash but it may eliminate some of that itching.
One of my best stress relievers is bust out a power walk around the block. Stress is a powerful depressant.Try and focus on one issue at a time, maybe then you can set your daily goals without that mind bending stress that makes for bad headaches. If I lived over in England(as I once did) I would soak up one them pints of great English pints for a quick happy smile. : )
I found these great long sleeve t-shirts that are UV rated and I don't get burned so bad any longer.
    • thanks Poco, my pharmacist gave me (yet another) cream that has calmed it down but I prefer the idea of using something natural like olive oil so I will give it a go next time it flares up. I have heard of UV clothing before so thanks for reminding me that I must look into it. I hope that you enjoyed England and that it was good to you...not sure about the power walking but I'll be sure to soak up a pint tomorrow!!
      • LOL! Have a pint on me. My step dad was stationed at RAF Chicksands near Bedford for 5 years 68-73'. We make trips back to Stratford for a play every 5 years. England is my second home. I took music theory at University at Luton for a couple of years and really enjoyed the teachers there.

That olive oil lotion seems to keep my skin hydrated because it so dry here in the Denver,CO area.
