  • I have had very good luck with UVB and am happy to help in any way I can.  There are several "rules" that I have found to be the most helpful.  One question: do you own your UVB light or are you going in for treatment?  Rule #1 is consistency!  I bought my UVB light which allows me to use it on an ongoing basis and when needed.  If you don't own you own you might consider getting one as it makes it much easier to use than having to take time to go to some office!

Also, creams used with UVB seem to play a helpful role.  You should talk to your doctor about what's best for you.  I also take the recommended supplements that provide what is thought to be helpful.

Diet is also key.  I eliminated as much sugar as possible and try and eat a lot of fruits and greens (spinach, broccoli, brussels sprouts, etc.).

There are a lot of methods that can be used and everyone seems to be different.  The first thing I would encourage you to do is get a UVB light that you can use on your own time (if you don't already have one).  Everything else that goes with it (vitamins, diet, cream, etc.) takes experimentation to find what's best for you.  You might not get immediate results, but if you keep trying, you will eventually find the right combination of light and creams (outside) with vitamins and diet (inside) that works for you!

    • Thank you ..James ..I have got my own Uvb light..I add a lot green veg in my diet ...What kind of cream do you add to the treatment?  did you keep Your repigment ..how long is it since  the repig started.

      • Hi Hana...  I'm sorry it has taken me a few weeks to get back to you.  I use two creams together.  A lot of people have had luck with Protopic.  I had side effects from using it so my doctor switched me to Desonide.  It has worked well.  After putting on the Desonide I then immediately put on pseudocatalase (pc-kus).  I do that twice a day and UVB two to three times a week.  Add them to diet and exercise and vitamins and I have had very good luck and started to notice results pretty quickly.  In my opinion, there is something that goes on with the Desonide and pc-kus pseudocatalase, combined with the UVB and vitamins, that is getting the results.  I say this because Desonide by itself with UVB and pseudocatalase by itself with UVB got slow and minimal results.  But when I decided to put it all together it was great to see how quickly I could notice a difference.

With that said, everyone is different.  I have experimented and experimented, continually looking for something to show results.  This might work for you and it might not.  If it does not, don't stop trying things!  Google can be your best resource...

  • It would work much better if yiu used it along with boosting glutathione. Vitiliganous skin if i pronounced that right, has more free radical damage (oxidative stress) the cells get suffocated, malnourished and degenerate due to diet and or digesting problems, malabsorbsion of important nutrients. Eat a good diet that has no processed foods. Eat andd supplement with everything that is gut healing! This healing of the gut may be the single most important part! Along with boosting your glutathione which is your bodies most powerful antioxidant system to get rid of free radical damage. If we all did this, this degenerative" disease" should be eradicated by the body naturally. thebody is designed to rregenerate givin the right stuff! It knows how but isnt getting the right hardware
    • Hi Kevin,

I have read a lot of your posts and they seem very interesting. One question, for how long have you made these diet changes and are you seeing any results in terms of repigmentation or stopping the progression of vitiligo?

    • Thank you Keven ,I understand that we have to treat from innside yet there is no any proper study telling us this shuld be done .. How do you boost ur glutathione Natural way .?

      • We need to focus on digestive health too! But for glutathione just google search glutathione precursors. Oncei ffigure out my list of food and supplements, i will share with everyone here. I firmly believe it is the answer. Key points... 1 patch up faulty digestion (leaky gut) 2 consume a good natural diet and the 90 essential nutrients. 3, boost boost boost glutathione. . those three things are probably the most important parts of being healthy. The studies are rare because thrre simply is no money to be made by doctors so they pay no attention to it and thats the truth. Nit saying doctors are bad people but they were never trained to use the natural and essential nutrients ti heal disease. . Its the medical system that is literally killing people off. Atleast in the u.s. ive listened to people who have healed thousands and it becomes easy to understand the importance of what goes into our body. So if someone tells you diet has nothing to do with it, run away from that person (: yet, everyone is praying for a quick easy simple cure, that wont work. Giveyourself what you've been starving for thats really all thats to it.
