Everyday, i think of a reason why god would put such a burden on all of us, and it hit me maybe he did because of all the racism in the world and he wanted us all to be one color, to love oneanother regardless of our skin color. To see we are all the same. Why white, i'm not sure about that. just my own little theory for me to get through the day:)

Your right Amy, this disorder has opened my eyes and I'm sure the eyes of others who know me. We can be tasked with informing others that skin color doesn't make a difference, and that everyone should more open to colors no matter the shade. We have a unique opportunity to open other peoples eyes, maybe this is why we were given this disorder. But lets use it! :D
Thats how I'm using mines. If some one throws me a lemon, I make lemonade!!! I live in the South and its well known here.(racism) Skin color is only one layer deep. Vitiligo may not exactly cure racism but it can show how racism don't make sense. Diseases and skin disorders only humbles a human, caring heart.
lol Amy it's quite true, if it wasn't for the stupid melanin everyone would have the same colour. I have read it on one of the vit forum and a black girl with vitiligo wrote :' When I was diagnosed with vitiligo I was very sad and depressed and my mum told me that God couldn't decide whether to make me a black or white and that is why I've got two colours'. It seems uderneath we all are the same colour afterall... sometimes I do try to adapt this theory and convince myself being a 'VITILIGAN' ( btw nice name Miguel) is not that bad but it's very hard to accept this bloody condition and let go off your identity...
