Microdermabraisons and vitiligo

I'd like to get microderm done...revitalise my facial skin and what not...but upon further reflection, I'm wondering if it could be bad for vitiligo.  I have vitiligo around my mouth.  Could microderm make it worse by triggering it in other spots?

    Interesting question.....I would be cautious not to cause too much stress to the skin, making sure the ingredients used are not harsh chemicals and technique is propper. I've read that those with dermatitis, ezcema or psoriasis should not do this, not sure about vit, maybe try some home remedies first.
