Looking for a Doctor Willing to Depigment in Michigan

After careful consideration and many years of failed treatment options, I finally have my mind set on depigmentation. A little background: I’ve had vitiligo for 23 years. I had been using Protopic & a Narrowband UVB light for over 10 years. I have even had my own light for the past 7. While it worked somewhat decent at first, I hadn’t seen any progress in forever and my spots were actually getting worse. I’ve been to a ZILLION derms, the Mayo Clinic, I’ve had MKTP performed, been prescribed various creams/ointments, I’ve tried strict dieting and vitamin regimens annnnddd…still nothing. While my vitiligo coverage is only 25-30%, I’ve always felt like I’m in a losing battle. I know that there are areas that will never repigment-my hands, my feet, etc. Both of my hands are nearly 100% covered and the spots on my chest have expanded to where I must wear crew neck shirts to cover them. I find new or expanding spots on my face, wrists, elbows, arms, hips, knees, legs, etc. all the time. I was actually quite relieved with the spreading on my hands as I don’t have to continually pull my sleeves down!

Alas, I’m now onto the battle of finding a dermatologist who is willing to treat me as I’ve lost confidence in my dermatologist since he expanded his practice. He’s quick to get me out the door with another script of Protopic, despite the fact that it wasn’t working. He actually scoffed @ the idea of depigmenting, telling me that I would be “repulsive” and cutting me off when I would attempt to explain myself. I’ve contacted several dermatologists in the area, none of which are familiar with/willing to prescribe me benoquin. They're quite nasty about it as well! I’ve made an appointment with a depigmentation specialist in Ohio, but it isn’t for another 4 months!! I’m antsy to get the show on the road! I was wondering if anyone has been able to find a dermatologist or GP in Michigan who is willing to depigment? The search has been just exhausting! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
