As I look at everyone on here, I see that there is no rhyme or reason to Vitiligo. Some of the people one here lose all their color quickly and others like myself do not. I basically have had the same spots for 10 years. This is what makes this condition so hard to deal with sometimes. You just don't know. I may have the same spots for 10 years but next year this time all my color can be gone. You know most things you can kind of pinpoint and most conditions react the same in everyone..examples all diabetics have insulin resistance. I just wanted to share my thoughts. I am not sure what I want now as far as my color, I have good days are bad days. And whenever I am having a bad day this group really helps me to keep things in perspective and I really appreciate this group and what is had to offer. I wish everyone the best---Antuana

Your absolutely right.. It changes and you never really know what its going to do. Its weird and that’s why I was so shocked when all my color disappeared. What’s your % of white vs brown?
Sorry this is so late, but I did not see this the last time I was on. I am thinking maybe less than 20% of my skin is white it is mainly on my hands, face, chest and under arms but anyhow I have basically been the same for at least 5 years and who knows I may be like this the rest of my life.

There is segmental vitiligo, non segmental vitiligo, vitiligo unerversalis (all over the body) and vitiligo vulgaris (mainly frictin areas like elbows knees fingers kunckles and lips.) Antuana it souds like you have the vulgaris variation. So do i.
I am not sure. I do take vitamins and that may slow it down some, but it's like I said Vit reacts different in everyone maybe that is why it is so hard to pinpoint a cause or cure.
