  • from reading a lot of peoples reactions. i'm guessing it's VERY stress/anxiety related. depending on your emotions. when you're calm and alls well, it's pretty much in remission. then when your emotion levels change, it's becomes more active.

autoimmune diseases tend to be very stress related.
  • Hi Peet, it affects everyone differently. I had my vitiligo show up 5 years ago and my doctor told me there was no telling if it would progress.

Here's a quote I read often to help me focus on the present:

"One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering." Anonymous quotes
    • lol my "latest" doc told me so too
  • My spots didn't grow for about three to four years then all the sudden *boom* many new spots. After going through narrow band, nothing new develop for almost three years. I have a friend who develop her first spot a year after me, got treatment and that was it. I guess it all depends and varies according to each person.
    • Thanks Melissa, that really helps me and i am gona stay positive.
  • Sadly the answer is yes, it could develop.
