Intorerance

In December we took our daughter to a nutritionist. After some test we were shocked to discover all the food we had been feeding her were bad for her. She is intolerant to dairy, wheat, oranges, lemon, carrots and irish potatoes.Since Jan 1st we have had to change the whole family diet. So far i have noticed a few changes. Her patches are darkening. The nutritionist said that she might be able to eat all this food later when her digestive system heals, but for the next 1 year will try and keep her away from the them. For those whose vitiligo is caused by food allergy, my advise is try and find out which foods cause it. It might be difficult to stick to a diet but you have to try.You might not even have to go for supplements. I will keep you updated Chao

  • Thanks for posting this.Every time i see positive results by consuming essential nutrients, it goes to show how regenerative the body really is. Since your into natural healing and digestive health, you should also look into building up glutathione levels (bodies master antioxidant system/cancer fighter). Our bodies make the stuff but if we're not getting the precursors and/or eating bad, production of glutathione will be low and what is made will be dealing with the bad stuff that is consumed . What kinds of foods is your daughter eating?
  • Hi Azr,

We went for a Electro-Dermal Test and we were given a list of foods she is not suppose to eat.
    • Hi, do you know if any allergy specialist will do this test? Or do we have to go to nutritionist only? Thanks for your post it's encouraging to see someone finding something like this.
  • Hi Mukami, how were you diognosed for food intolerance?

  • Thanks for sharing Your experience ,for some ppl vitiligo is related to digestive problem and Food intolerance...But  there is no scientific evidence about vitiligo and diet..For most of us we can eat what we want as long as we do it in a healthy way "Balancing" is the key.
