After months of experiencing feverish spreading I think i got it to stop. I can tell because one bay of pigmented cells was losing its colour and now has regained it. No handcuffs (as in arrested... anyway), main change has been vitamins.

I was taking a regular multivitamin (Centrum) for a long time and then realised that multivitamins don't specialise in the vitamins we need most. So, I shopped around and found the one below, which is made to improve the skin. Seems like a no-brainer now. I also complement it with Vitamin A and Omega oils.
(product didn't matter, just wanted to make sure I was getting 100% RDA of the vitamins above)
Are you sure your pigment cells were actually losing their colour gradually? I know that all my vitiligo spots just suddenly appeared out of thin air. There was no process of slow depigmentation. I was terrified one morning when i noticed an entire section of my face was a little lighter than the rest of my face. All i could think was "omg is this it? is my face about to start losing its pigmentation?!?!" But after a year it hasnt gotten darker or lighter. So i kind of decided that its just my skin complexion.
Some of my vitiligo acts that way and there are parts that do lose their colour gradually. The vitiligo in my lips, for example, which is hardly visible because the colour started to go but Protopic has thankfully brought it back.
Great news that you managed to stop it in its tracks! Do you know what triggered the spread? I also have areas that look like they are only slightly lighter than my 'normal' skin that have appeared this year and I'm worried that they will gradually lose colour as you described. I think maybe it is a little different for everyone. I'll look into my vitamins for the same reasons you mentioned, as I'm on multibionta (as they included a probiotic). Gem :)
Nice one. what sort of vitamins are you taking. I have lost small amounts of pigment, some of the patches have repigmented to an extent. But not sure why some of the pigment came back, maybe certain foods or sunlight?
Wow great! Yeah I agree vitamins really do help...... Btw, what type of vitamins are you taking? and do you buy them from Holland and Barrett? I used to get it from H&B and their price is considerably cheaper, I don't know why but now I'm using Solgar product and it costs 2-3 times more..I just can't help wondering that if I'm wasting my money :(
